Milan, October 2, 2025 – The Municipality of Milan and Fastweb + Vodafone are renewing the collaboration launched three years ago by presenting, during Milan Digital Week, “Navigating the Future. Digital tools for job search”, a new program to promote the broadest possible spread of digital skills among Milan’s citizens. The initiative follows the “Digital Ambassadors” project launched in 2022 and is part of the initiatives promoted under the Pact for Work, with the goal of fostering autonomous, informed, and responsible use of new technologies through free learning opportunities.

After 11 editions, which involved 380 citizens attending lessons both in person at the Municipality’s Job and Training Center and online, on essential topics such as SPID, safe browsing, Microsoft Office basics, recognizing fraudulent emails and spam – for a total of 120 hours of training delivered by Fastweb + Vodafone technicians and experts – the collaboration continues with the launch of “Navigating the Future” to meet a new need.

The course, which already had a successful pilot phase in early 2025, offers Milan’s citizens a free new training program focused on the use of digital tools for job search. Topics include writing effective CVs and cover letters (also with the support of AI) and making the most of LinkedIn to build a professional network.

“Bridging the digital divide, at a time when most services – including job search – are online, is essential for a city that wants to be inclusive and close to its people. The results and feedback from previous editions – explains Alessia Cappello, Councillor for Economic Development and Labor Policies – push us to continue this fruitful partnership and to start new initiatives. The editions held so far have had a real impact on citizens’ lives, and we hope the next ones will also prove useful and accessible to many participants.”

“Advanced technologies and artificial intelligence – says Layla Pavone, Coordinator of the Board for Technological Innovation and Digital Transformation – provide efficient and effective tools to improve and facilitate professional paths, while increasingly requiring us to be both workers and students at the same time. In a context where digital is reshaping every aspect of daily life, training is the challenge that most urges us to join forces, ensuring equal opportunities for all. The Municipality of Milan has embraced this challenge, fostering continuous public-private collaboration to make Milan and its development increasingly inclusive.”

“As a technology company committed to supporting communities and local areas, we are constantly working to make digital training accessible and aligned with people’s real needs. The results of this project show that the need for new skills cuts across age, gender, and employment status – says Lisa Di Feliciantonio, Chief Communication & Sustainability Officer at Fastweb + Vodafone. – Digital skills will be essential for the jobs of the future and are already crucial today for those seeking employment or relaunching their careers. This is why we want to continue our collaboration with the Municipality to expand our positive impact on people and the territory.”

The first cycle of “Navigating the Future” will run from November 10 to 27 with six lessons from 4:00 to 6:30 pm on Teams, followed by new editions every three months.
