Fastweb + Vodafone today unveiled the new look of its historic office located at Via Ulisse, in the presence of the Mayor of the City of Catania, Enrico Trantino. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was also attended by Silvia Cassano, Chief People Officer, and Federico Negri, Chief B2C Officer of Fastweb + Vodafone.
The 2,800 sq m building, built in the early 2000s as an open space with traditional workstations mainly dedicated to call centre activities, has been completely renovated through a major refurbishment and building upgrade project. The restyling is part of the path undertaken by Fastweb + Vodafone to make working environments ever more modern and comfortable, fostering collaboration among people and increasingly agile working thanks to the use of technology.
The investment is of strategic importance as it consolidates and strengthens the high-value support activities and services for Fastweb + Vodafone customers managed in Catania, confirming the office's role as an important centre of excellence in the area and a hub of innovation for the city.
Located at Via Ulisse 89, in the north-east part of the City, the office is home to over 450 people employed in various areas, from customer support to marketing, from human resources to IT, from network development to administration, through to the design of solutions for the digital transformation of businesses and public administration. To support daily activities, the office features spaces dedicated to collaboration, training and focused work, including meeting rooms, flexible training rooms, informal multifunctional areas and green spaces. The project was developed through a structured and participatory process involving co-design activities together with the employees who work at the office, aimed at gathering needs and suggestions that were then translated into a shared design layout.
In line with the company's sustainability strategy, some of the furnishings used come from a circular economy process, helping to reduce waste and the environmental impact of the project.
"The presence and commitment of these two companies represent an important tradition for Catania and for the entire metropolitan area. The completion of the renovation of the historic Via Ulisse office is not only a significant infrastructure investment, but also a concrete confirmation of our city's central role as a hub of excellence for innovation, technological development and digitalisation. This initiative enhances local professional expertise and strengthens high-value support services to the benefit of all citizens and businesses," said the Mayor of Catania, Enrico Trantino.
"The beauty of this architectural project lies not only in the result, but in the contribution made directly by the colleagues who experience the office every day, making it a space to which they feel they belong and in which they can therefore express themselves at their best," commented Silvia Cassano, Chief People Officer of Fastweb + Vodafone.
"The Catania office is a point of reference for the high-value support services dedicated to our customers, and the renovation of these spaces allows us to strengthen a key foundation serving an increasingly qualified and effective customer experience," said Federico Negri, Chief B2C Commercial Officer of Fastweb + Vodafone.
