Fastweb+Vodafone is strengthening its commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) with the first-time achievement of the ISO 30415:2021 Diversity & Inclusion attestation and the renewal of the UNI/PdR 125:2022 Gender Equality Certification, both issued by certification body Bureau Veritas Italia.
The two recognitions represent a further milestone in the company’s integration journey and demonstrate Fastweb+Vodafone’s commitment to consolidating, also through internationally recognized measurement and assessment frameworks, an organizational model built on inclusion, the value of diversity and equal opportunities.
The certification process was supported by the work of Fastweb+Vodafone’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Steering Committee, established to oversee and coordinate the harmonization of company policies and practices and to define a common system for monitoring relevant indicators. The process enabled Fastweb and Vodafone Italia to bring together the experience, tools and best practices developed over the years, which have now been integrated into the new Fastweb+Vodafone organization.
The UNI/PdR 125:2022 Gender Equality Certification assesses an organization’s ability to implement concrete measures to promote gender equality through a set of indicators covering, among other areas, culture and strategy, governance, HR processes, women’s career development and inclusion, pay equity, support for parenthood, and work-life balance.
ISO 30415:2021 provides a framework for developing and strengthening an organizational culture focused on Diversity & Inclusion, extending the commitment beyond the employee lifecycle. The standard also applies to the provision of products and services, relationships across the supply chain and engagement with external stakeholders, with the aim of ensuring fairness, impartiality and equality across the organization’s processes, practices and decision-making.
The achievement of these certifications confirms the central role of these issues within Fastweb+Vodafone’s culture and highlights the work carried out over the years to translate these principles into concrete initiatives. These include guidance and orientation activities for younger generations in schools and universities, initiatives to support women’s participation in science and technology pathways, training and awareness-raising on inclusion and gender-based violence, as well as policies supporting parenthood and sexual orientation and identity.
“The ISO 30415 attestation represents an important step forward in building a truly inclusive organizational culture. The distinctive value of the standard lies in its ability to engage all business functions, calling on them to integrate an inclusive perspective into everyday processes and decision-making. The simultaneous renewal of the UNI/PdR 125 Gender Equality Certification further strengthens this commitment, highlighting Fastweb+Vodafone’s determination to take a systemic approach to equity and the value of diversity. These are two complementary recognitions that demonstrate how inclusion and social responsibility have become strategic levers for creating shared value,” said Roberta Prati, Certification Director South East Europe at Bureau Veritas.
“For us, talking about Diversity, Equity & Inclusion today means going beyond individual initiatives. It means asking how these principles are reflected in the decisions we make, the relationships we build and the way we work every day. The ISO 30415 attestation and the renewal of the UNI/PdR 125 Gender Equality Certification provide us with a common framework to continue moving in this direction, building on a process that required something rare in an integration journey: bringing together two distinct organizational cultures, both grounded in strong and authentic foundations, and shaping them into a single model that is now also recognized through international standards,” said Silvia Cassano, Chief People Officer at Fastweb+Vodafone.
