Fastweb Digital Academy alongside Public Administration Department for the dissemination of digital skills in public employment
The new training course on Artificial Intelligence is now available on the online platform of the Public Administration Department

Fastweb Digital Academy, the school for new digital professions founded by Fastweb in 2016 and now a key element of the Fastweb + Vodafone strategy for the dissemination of digital skills, is expanding its training offer for Public Administration. The company is making available on the "Syllabus" platform – the digital assessment and training program promoted by the Public Administration Department for all public employees – an innovative training course dedicated to Artificial Intelligence.

The e-learning course is designed to provide more than 3 million public employees with the necessary skills to face future challenges through the use of emerging technologies. It integrates both basic and advanced content related to AI and complements the training programs in cybersecurity and digital communication in public administration, which Fastweb Digital Academy has been offering free of charge on the Public Administration Department’s online platform since 2022.

Structured across three levels of depth (basic, intermediate, and advanced), the course provides a comprehensive overview of Artificial Intelligence's potential for Public Administration. It covers fundamental tools for informed AI use, advanced techniques, and practical applications for document management. Special attention is given to skills for process optimization and service improvement for citizens and businesses through generative AI, as well as the exploration of methodologies such as automatic search, planning, and clustering.

Each module consists of multiple learning units, video tutorials, and knowledge assessment tests. At the end of each module, participants can track their progress and view completed courses, passed tests, and overall acquired skills on the Public Administration Department's online platform.

The program follows the publication of the draft guidelines for the adoption of Artificial Intelligence in Public Administration by the Agency for Digital Italy (AgID) and benefits from the supervision of a multidisciplinary Scientific Committee, coordinated by Professor Nicola Mazzocca, Director of the Department for Digital and Ecological Transformation of the National School of Administration.

Since 2022, Fastweb Digital Academy has trained over 491,000 public employees, reaching a total of more than 681,000 participants in its free and open courses since 2016.
