Net Zero Carbon 2035

Our objective

Fastweb+Vodafone pursues the Swisscom group's goal of achieving Net Zero emissions according to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) definition by 2035.
We are committed to reducing our absolute direct Scope 1 and indirect Scope 2 and 3 emissions by 90% compared to 2018. In this way, we support the objective set by the Paris climate agreement, which provides for a maximum increase in global temperature of 1.5 °C.

The composition of our emissions in 2025

Our greenhouse gas inventory compliant with the GHG Protocol is verified according to ISO 14064 standard. At the same time, we adhere to the objectives of the Corporate Net-Zero Standard of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

Scope 1 (Direct)
Corporate direct emissions are mainly related to vehicles and heating. Since 2018, we have reduced these emissions by 48%.

Scope 2 (Indirect-Electricity)
Since 2015, emissions from purchased electricity have been zero thanks to the purchase of 100% from renewable sources with Guarantees of Origin. The residual portion relates to residual district heating in three offices.

Together with our suppliers and partners, we are committed to reducing CO2 emissions by 90% by 2035, compared to 2018.

Sustainable Mobility
The company fleet is the main source of direct CO2 emissions and will be converted 100% to hybrid and electric vehicles by 2035.
Renewable Energies
Electricity represents more than 90% of consumption and has been 100% renewable since 2015. In addition to the 28 photovoltaic systems, we are committed to signing long-term PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) supply contracts, linked to renewable plants in Italy.
Efficient infrastructure
We are committed to implementing efficiency interventions on our network, achieving a nominal annual saving of 7.8 GWh only in 2025.

Sustainable supply chain
The supply chain is not only the main but also the most complex source of emissions. In 2025, 44% of our goods and services were purchased from suppliers committed to emission reduction targets signed with SBTi.
Climate-conscious Working
To reduce travel, we promote flexible working models and innovative solutions such as Work Smart and Home Office.
Sustainable products
In Fastweb+Vodafone products, we reduce resource consumption with each new generation by using recycled materials and optimizing energy consumption during production and operation.
