Circular Economy

At Fastweb+Vodafone we are attentive to the use of resources and take action to reduce waste. We recover our modems in order to give them a second life, when possible.
The actions focus on reducing the use of material and promoting the use of second-hand and refurbished components. This includes the design of new modems, as well as the regeneration and recovery of their materials and parts.

Fastweb Seven

In 2025, Fastweb Seven, a new internet box designed with a strong focus on sustainability, was launched.
95%
Recycled PlasticThe body of the new modem is made almost entirely of recycled materials.
EcoMode
-50% of consumptionA new function that allows power adaptation based on usage, halving energy consumption compared to normal usage mode.

Applied Circular Economy

ECO-SIM
SIM cards made from recycled plastic.
eSim
Dematerialization of the digital SIM to enable immediate service activation without using a physical SIM card.
Refurbished smartphones
We promote the purchase of guaranteed regenerated devices, extending the useful life of technological products.

Recovery, regeneration and recycling

We provide a mechanism for collecting used modems in order to recover and reuse them. Modems are collected at specific collection centers and, after a testing and refurbishment process, regenerated when possible.
> 75%
Refurbished ModemsIn 2025, more than 75% of the Fastweb modems collected passed the tests and were regenerated and returned to the market. When regeneration is not possible, we disassemble devices in order to recover components such as metals, plastics, rare earth elements, to be able to reuse them in new products.
In addition to the materials that make up the products, Fastweb+Vodafone is attentive to those that are used in its workplaces, in particular to the elimination of single-use plastic. In all Fastweb offices and stores, plastic cups, spoons, and bottles have been eliminated.
