From January 29 to November 26, 2026, nine events featuring cult films, debates with special guests, and a special evening in collaboration with the Reply AI Film Festival

Milan, 21 January 2026 - STEP FuturAbility District presents the third edition of Tech, Action!, the cult film series that tackles the most current topics related to technological evolution, from artificial intelligence to digital transformation, offering a perspective and an opportunity for discussion on the resulting ethical, social, and cultural challenges. The series includes one screening per month, from January 29 to November 26, for a total of nine films. Under the scientific direction of Massimo Temporelli, a physicist, science communicator, and curator of the series, each screening is followed by a compelling conversation with prominent guests and an open debate with the audience.

The 2026 edition, in continuity with the first two, focuses on the humanity that imagines, designs, and builds technologies, seeking to understand what dreams and fears they project onto the culture of our species. This year, ample space will be given to robotics, a rapidly growing field destined to have major social, technological, and economic repercussions in the coming years, and to the theme of longevity, another fast-growing trend where technology and biology blend, changing our relationship with time.

"This year again, 'Tech, Action!' aims to be a compass for navigating a fast-paced present," declares Cristina Paciello, Head of STEP. "Cinema is a powerful mirror of our dreams and fears regarding technology. With the selected films and guests, we want to offer the public not just a vision, but also the tools for a critical and informed debate on topics like robotics and longevity, which are already shaping our tomorrow."

The initiative is carried out in collaboration with NTT DATA, a global leader in artificial intelligence, technology, and digital business services, which shares STEP's mission of promoting a culture of innovation accessible to all.
