Following the merger by incorporation approved by the respective shareholders’ meetings, as of 1 January 2026 Fastweb S.p.A. and Vodafone Italia S.p.A. have become a single corporate entity under the name Fastweb S.p.A. The transaction marks the beginning of a new chapter for the telecommunications market in Italy and gives rise to a leading national operator.
With over than 20 million mobile lines and 5.8 million fixed lines, Fastweb S.p.A. establishes itself as the country’s leading infrastructure-based operator, leveraging over 20,000 mobile radio sites covering 87% of the Italian population with 5G, as well as a proprietary fixed network spanning more than 74,000 km, ensuring widespread coverage, with 54% of the network in FTTH (Fiber To The Home).
The corporate integration process between Fastweb and Vodafone Italia, which began in January 2025, reaches its completion with the merger, which represents the conclusion of the most significant consolidation operation carried out in the Italian telecommunications market in recent years.
Following the merger, Fastweb S.p.A. will continue to pursue its value-creation strategy for the market, investing in infrastructure and technological innovation with the goal of becoming the reference point for the country’s digital transformation. The company will continue to offer families, businesses and public administrations increasingly advanced services and cutting-edge technological solutions, leveraging the country’s most high-performing fixed and 5G mobile networks, IoT, Cloud and Artificial Intelligence, while ensuring the quality and reliability that have always distinguished Fastweb and Vodafone Italia.
From a commercial perspective, the Fastweb, Vodafone and ho. brands will continue to be used, while for corporate identity purposes the Fastweb + Vodafone corporate brand will continue to be adopted.
