Fastweb Digital Academy confirms itself as a benchmark for digital education in Italy. The digital skills school of Fastweb+Vodafone – which offers free courses open to everyone – has received the 2025 Social Impact Award in the Profit category, a recognition that highlights its concrete contribution to social progress and the growth of digital skills. The award was presented during the 13th edition of the CSR and Social Innovation Fair, held on October 8, 9, and 10 in Milan.

The award was granted to Fastweb Digital Academy for the significant qualitative and quantitative impact generated by its commitment to promoting digital culture, reducing the digital divide, improving professional skills and employability, and valuing education as a tool for social inclusion and personal growth. A key factor in the award was also the creation of a synthetic indicator, the DigitAbility Index, which summarizes the overall assessment of social effects on the stakeholders involved, measured across various impact dimensions and related indicators.

Among the most significant effects detected through the social impact evaluation developed in collaboration with Altis Advisory, a spin-off of the Catholic University, are the acquisition of new technical-professional skills and improved work performance. Course participants reported progress in digital skills as well as personal and professional development, while instructors highlighted growth in professional development, psycho-work well-being, and recognition of their role.

At the same time, Fastweb Digital Academy confirms its commitment to the public sector: its collaboration with the Department of Public Administration continues, positioning the Academy among the main providers of digital skills courses for public administration employees, with a strategic focus on Artificial Intelligence. These are essential programs for the upskilling and reskilling of personnel and are key to accelerating the digital transformation of the public sector.

Thanks to its commitment, the more than 200 courses available, and the various collaborations activated in recent months, the Academy announces that it will far exceed its initial goal of training 500,000 people by 2025: a target that will not only be reached but doubled, reaching over one million people trained by the end of the year.

With these results, Fastweb Digital Academy confirms itself as a unique project on the national scene for social impact, innovation capacity, and contribution to the country’s digital growth.
